A few weeks back, I wrote a bit about the start position and some cues we use to get a lifter in a good position to make a successful lift. Here is a video giving some visuals on what we look for in the setup and some further explanation in how we set someone up that hasn't lifted before.
It's pretty obvious that Kyle's been doing this for awhile. If you watch his training, his setup is right where we want it and it always looks the same. This should be the goal for any athlete's setup. Get them to know what a good setup is, what it looks like and how it feels like. Then get them to do it every single time.
